“Welcome to the Delaware Valley, named for our regional watershed and home to Philadelphia, the fifth largest city in the United States,” writes Heather Shayne Blakeslee in the introduction to Philadelphia Green: Sustainable Design in the Delaware Valley, a new 116-page survey of green building in Philly and the surrounding region designed and published by the team at gb&d.
We’re extremely proud of the publication, which was released in conjunction with the 2013 Greenbuild International Conference & Expo, taking place in Philadelphia this week (come see gb&d at Booth #4005!). We worked with the Delaware Valley Green Building Council, for which Blakeslee serves as deputy executive director, to create a book that truly showcases the breadth of sustainability efforts in and around Philly.
Ranging from the economic impact of materials recycling to the health benefits of LEED Platinum workplaces, Philadelphia Green is a snapshot of a unique and passionate city and a guide to the greenest experiences Philly has to offer.
