Engineered to work in both pre-applied and vertical post-applied situations, SWELLPRUFE brings together the bond to concrete that customers know and expect from GCP with the protective benefits of encapsulated bentonite. Unlike conventional bentonite systems, SWELLPRUFE creates a fully bonded, active barrier against lateral water migration. Depending on jobsite conditions, applicators have installation options: mechanically attached overlaps enable expedited installation and, when exposed to water, hydrate and swell to create a confined seal, while heat-welded overlaps provide a watertight seal in unconfined conditions.The membrane’s unique swellable filler expands up to five times in a controlled swelling cycle to deliver superior self-healing performance. It resists prehydration, maintains dimensional stability, and remains trafficable and safe even when wet, all while offering a competitive installed cost.
