Industry-leading manufacturer Cascadia Windows & Doors recently joined the Rainscreen Association in North America (RAiNA), becoming a member in the broad member-based industry association dedicated to the advancement of rainscreen building assemblies.

With over 70 current members from across North America, including RDH Building Science, ROCKWOOL, PROSOCO & IAPMO, the association’s member committees will develop technical information, liaise with building code regulatory bodies and advocate for more durable, resilient, healthy, energy-efficient, and safe buildings.

“We’re proud to be joining RAiNA,” says Cascadia Windows & Doors President Mike Battistel. “Their mission and values closely align with our own work promoting data-driven, high-performance cladding assemblies through our Cascadia Clip© brand.”

Focused on promoting building science-based performance criteria and supplying the industry with objective product data and design tools, RAiNA is positioned to become the recognized focal point for the industry in rainscreen assembly technology.

“The formation of RAiNA is quite timely in the construction industry,” continues Battistel. “Architects, consultants and developers are looking for reliable information about things like resiliency, durability and overall building performance. RAiNA’s focus on performance data and industry expertise offers that support to a wide audience.”

Officially founded in early 2020, RAiNA has already dedicated over 10,000 person hours to the advancement of the industry through committees covering technical topics, such as code review and development, as well social responsibility topics, such as diversity, equity and inclusion.
