More than 80,000 design and construction professionals will come together for the fifth annual Design & Construction Week (DCW) in Orlando. During the week, two simultaneous trade shows—The National Association of Home Builders’ International Builders' Show (IBS) and The National Kitchen & Bath Association’s Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS)—will be presented by DCW’s founding partners. DCW encompasses three days of networking, educational events, and engaging programs and exhibits. This year DCW will continue spotlighting the best products and trends in the industry and keep.

Hosting more than 2,000 exhibitors this year, the International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo) is on its way to Chicago. What began more than 85 years ago as a small heating and ventilation show has now grown into the biggest event of the year for the HVACR industry. Roughly 65,000 HVACR professionals—from engineers to installers and end-users—from across the United States and all over the world will have the chance to discuss the future of their field and new ideas, products, and technologies. This year’s festivities includes showcases on building automation, HVACR software, indoor air quality products, and more.

The Northeast is among the strongest and fastest growing solar markets in the country, so it’s no surprise hundreds of companies and more than 1,000 solar industry professionals will gather in Boston for Solar Power Northeast this February. Attendees will explore new solutions, share expertise, and discuss policy efforts as part of the events. Sponsored by the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA), this event is expected to have more than 50 exhibitors. And this conference is unlike other solar conferences—all Solar Power Northeast proceeds help support the SEIA and SEPA’s research and education programs, as well as SEIA’s advocacy initiatives. Catch up on latest building envelope design concepts at the 2018 RCI International Convention and Trade Show in Houston. More than 1,300 attendees are expected at the annual event, which will feature more than 25 hours of educational seminars, live product demonstrations, and a two‐day trade show of more than 130 exhibitors. Educational programs are approved to yield continuing education credits for members of RCI and the American Institute of Architects. The convention will be a great opportunity to earn a full year’s worth of continuing education credit. Building envelope consultants and specifers will discover the latest products for designing and repairing today’s building envelopes.

The nation’s leading policymakers, design professionals, building owners and commercial real estate representatives will gather at the 2018 Getting to Zero National Forum in Pittsburgh to share perspectives on the growth of zero energy (ZE), learn about best practices for successful projects, and collaborate on opportunities for ZE to transform the built environment. Participants represent industry change makers who will drive the innovation, policy and practice necessary to bring zero net energy buildings to scale. Policy sessions will spotlight current rules, incentives, and programs that are creating low-energy outcomes and catalyzing projects. In addition, technical tracks will dig in on critical design, construction, and operational aspects with added tracks focused on residential and multifamily ZE buildings as well as grid integration strategies.
