Registration is open for the LEDucation 2021 Virtual Conference and Online Marketplace being held March 16–17, 2021. This program features more than 300 exhibitors and offers a variety of accredited sessions covering lighting design, controls, sustainability, and health and wellness topics. Registration is free of charge for all attendees.

The Virtual Conference will host multiple, consecutive educational webinars and deep-dive panel discussions presented by local industry luminaries and lighting professionals from across the country. The first panel discussion, “Steal That Detail,” will be a study in collaborative design: four senior lighting designers discussing singular challenges they met when dealing with details on custom/specialty lighting. “Greenish,” will include an introduction to the 17 UN Sustainability Goals and then a case study presented through the eyes of a designer, a manufacturer, and an agent. “Raising the Stakes for Presence Detection” will address critical questions of sensor effectiveness, reliability, and deployment as sensors move into more applications with significant human risk.

Webinars on controls, components, design, and sustainability will conclude with an hour on “Light-Based Disinfection.” All sessions are nonconcurrent, so a total of 11.5 AIA-accredited learning units can be earned in the March program (3.5 LUs in in the topic areas of health, safety, and welfare). The Nuckolls Fund for Lighting Education will also announce its 2021 Grant Recipients and Awardees at 5:30 pm EDT on Tuesday March 16, with a brief discussion on “The Progression to Online Learning.”
