The furniture brand Dims. is known for its sustainable, beautifully crafted pieces—and its latest launch is no exception. In fact, it’s one of our favorite new sustainable products.
Designed by Norway’s Stine Aas, the Cleo Stool is a sleek, bold stool that adds a minimalist, modern seating option to any room. A sister product to Aas’ best-selling Cleo Chair, the stool consists of soft yet geometrical elements.
“In both the Cleo Chair and the Cleo Stool I wanted to highlight the back of the chair, since this is the part of the chair you actually see the most,” she says. “I love that the Cleo Stool is so simple—really highlighting the back and the lightness in the way the seat is lifted from the frame.”
Aas grew up on the Norwegian coast, surrounded by mountains and fjords, and has always had a close relationship with nature. Her work, including the Cleo Stool, is inspired by the organic patterns in the landscape she grew up in as well as Scandinavian culture.
With a rounded back and comfortable molded seat supported by solid ash wood legs, the Cleo Stool is a design-forward, functional piece for any space.
Design Details
1. Sustainable Wood
All of Dims. wood furniture is sourced from sustainably managed forests certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, or by Appalachian Hardwood. The finishes and adhesives are GREENGUARD-certified, which means they have been tested to meet standards for low chemical emissions, helping to ensure healthier air quality within your space.
2. Flexible Sizing
Unlike the shorter Cleo Chair, the Cleo Stool comes in both bar and counter heights, making it perfect for both home or hospitality settings. It’s even BIFMA-certified for heavy-duty use.
3. Chemical-Free Colorways
The Cleo Stool is available in five chemical-free paint colors. If you’re looking to add a pop of color, try a bold green, blue, or red. Meanwhile ink black and natural ash options are striking complements to any neutral space.
