This distinctive event will take place on January 21, 2025, at 2:30pm PST at Booth #S-11326 in Las Vegas.
This interactive coffee chat will celebrate the achievements of women in the concrete industry, fostering a dynamic dialogue on innovation, industry trends, and personal growth. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with seasoned industry leaders and emerging talents, hear inspiring stories, and explore the pivotal role women play in shaping the future of the construction chemicals industry. Topics will include new advancements and overcoming current industry challenges as well as inspiration for entering the industry and advice for emerging professionals.

Barnard has been a driving force in the construction industry for over 15 years, specializing in sustainability programs and concrete technology. Her expertise spans Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) and building certification programs. With a collaborative approach, Barnard works with architects, contractors, engineers, and concrete producers to champion sustainability and innovation.
Peggy Hagerty Duffy, P.E., D. GE – Executive Director, ADSC
Duffy brings more than three decades of experience in geotechnical engineering, specializing in concrete placement and drilled shafts. She is the founder of Hagerty Engineering and serves as executive director of the ADSC. A leader in her field, she is a past president of the Academy of Geo-Professionals and an active member of ASCE and DFI.
Katha Redmon – Director of Concrete Products, Graniterock
With more than 30 years in the concrete industry, Redmon is a respected expert in concrete products and quality assurance. She holds multiple ACI and NRMCA certifications and serves as a voting member on six ASTM committees. Her extensive experience includes leadership roles in technical committees at CalCIMA and Caltrans PMPC.

Black is an accomplished human resources professional with a master’s degree in human resource management and more than a decade of experience. She has excelled in recruitment, training and development, and employee relations. Her career spans the defense and construction industries, with the last seven years focused in the construction chemicals sector.
